UniCluster 5.0 is a completely new way of building compute clusters and even clouds (with the UniCloud 2.0 addition). UniCluster 5.0 provides the following new functionality:
- Bare Metal Provisioning up to 10,000 nodes.
- Abstracted UniCluster Kits, able to support different package managers.
- Multiple Operating System version, family, architecture, OS in one kit
- RESTFul Web Service API for all components
- Complete command line interface for all tools and management
- New Hardware and Software profiles, allows for greater flexibility in provisioning nodes.
- Subordinate Installer increases scalability from 1,000 to 10,000+ nodes in a single cluster
